"'I'm a Health Worker' - Abduaraman Gidi" made by IntraHealth International.
USAID's 2016 Acting on the Call Report provides updates from the program that aims to end preventable maternal and child deaths in 25 priority countries, which together accounted for more than two-thirds of child and maternal deaths worldwide. This report outlines how 8 million women and children's lives can be saved by 2020 and examines inequitable access to maternal and health services. The topics covered in the report are health financing, immunizations, equitable care for children, family planning & reproductive health, maternal and newborn care, social and behavior change, nutrition, and sanitation and hygiene. While the report does not go into detail on how community health workers are involved in Acting on the Call, community health workers are utilized to accomplish the program's goals.
